Idealware provides candid Consumer-Reports-style reviews and articles about software of interest to nonprofits. Through product comparisons, recommendations, case studies, and software news, Idealware allows nonprofits to make the software decisions that will help them be more effective.  

Software tools can provide enormous benefits to nonprofits– increased innovation, information, efficiency, effectiveness, and more. However, it is exceedingly difficult for nonprofits to know what tools are appropriate for them, what’s available, and how to choose. What’s more, increased pressure to reduce administrative costs makes it difficult for them to spend money on software or devote time to finding the right software. The existing resources simply don’t provide candid and tactical guidance that is available to the majority of nonprofits.

Idealware provides a trusted and authoritative online guide to the software that will allow US nonprofits– especially small ones– to be more effective. Scrupulously unbiased consultants create detailed reports covering particular software areas, such as donor databases under $3000 or content management systems. Our Online Donation report was stunningly successful: just the people who actually completed our evaluation reported that they expected to save a combined total of $40,000 worth of time and money.
